EUROPEAN COMMISSION GUIDANCE ARTICLE 22 REFERRALS                                                                                                                          26 March 2021

(DG COMP) just published its much-awaited guidance to kill "killer acquisitions". Member States may refer acquisitions below national merger control thresholds and raising antitrust concerns to European Commission for review. No doubt this will add greater merger control scrutiny to consolidation in the #payment industry.
